The company provides nine main categories of service. These are:

1. Radiation Protection Advice
2. Qualified Expert Services
3. Tests on MRI, Laser, Ultrasound, Ultraviolet and Microwave Equipment
4. Environmental and X-Ray Equipment Surveys
5. Quality Control and Quality Assurance
6. Education and Training
7. Patient Dose Audit and Optimisation
8. Research and Development
9. Personnel Radiation Monitoring Services

Although services may be offered as a package to customers, independent growth exists in each service division. The provision of full radiation protection services to any customer would normally involve Surveys, Advice and Education and Training, and sevices of Qualified Expert under the
IR(ME)R regulations, although prospective cusotmers for example could buy any of these services individually.

The services provided by IRS enables compliance with many Regulations and Acts relating to radiation safety e.g. Ionising Radiation Regulations 1999 and 1988; the Radioactive Substances Act 1993. Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2000.
